Myrobalan Powder

Myrobalan is a tree found and cultivated in Indian forests. Premium quality Myrobalan nuts are produced in the central states of India.

From time immemorial this botanical product has found its wide application in leather industry as an auxiliary tanning material. It is hydrolisable in nature and is therefore more acidic. This makes it an ideal tanning agent to top up the basic tanned leather to avoid oxidation and darkning of colour.

Application:

Myrobalan powder was traditionally used as a protective, light colour imparting tanning material. But in modern times it is also being used in combination with cotechol tanning extract in controlled quantities. It is also finding its usage in blending with syntans for specific end-use results.

KING BRAND Myrobalan powder is produced with nuts of Western Indian origin from only assorted nuts to maintain light colour and uniformity.
